About me

I realize that my blog start off without anything about me on so here's the quick and dirty.

Name: Lisa

Occupation: Senior Library Assistant and Student through UNT

State of Residence: VA

Dreams: Of being a real librarian, living anywhere besides where I am or where I grew up, world travel, and working in a library that does not own 8000 DVDs and yes, I am serious 8000.

Age: I'll say 27 because its only 2 days away.

Addictions: Reading fluff, Facebook, the gym, and my mp3 player.

Misconceptions about me: That I'm a snob, sometimes I really am, but usually I'm just waiting for the other person to shut up, so I can talk.

Life philosophy: I haven't got one yet.

As you can tell I'm in a sarcastic mood, I promise that is not always the case, but there's no sunshine right now to put me in a good mood.

Thing 2

Ok, so I watched the videos and read the posts. Here are my thoughts on them. I hope that Steve Abram is correct and that I will begin to view my library and colleagues in a new way. I hope to become more excited about using Library 2.0 and Web 2.0 tools to create a more dynamic library, because right now my library is not very dynamic. The posts were interesting, but they all seem to say the same thing, that 2.0 is nothing to be afraid of you just need to get out there and use it. Well that's what I'm doing. So yeah for me!

Hello North Texas 23

Hi everyone,

I'm a little nervous about tackling this project along with my classes this summer and working full time, but I'm going to try because I really want to be able to understand all this stuff. This way I can explain it to other people in laymans terms, not computer geek speak.
